Collectively innovating our supply chains

Infrastructure problems that once held African companies back from optimising their supply chain are seeing improvements. This will enable organisations to maximise on international interest in the continent’s resources, says Dr Douglas Boateng, president of the Forum.

"Supply chain management is increasingly becoming a hot topic in the boardrooms of a number of top JSE-listed and other African and emerging world companies. As these companies go in search of newer markets, the stereotype of supply chain management as a relatively insignificant part of business strategy is quickly evaporating on the continent as a whole,” he explains.
